dbconfig-pgsql software package provides dbconfig-common PostgreSQL support, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dbconfig-pgsql
dbconfig-pgsql is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dbconfig-pgsql package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dbconfig-pgsql *
You will get with dbconfig-pgsql package name, version, architecture and description in a table
