cscope-el software package provides transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cscope-el
cscope-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cscope-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cscope-el *
You will get with cscope-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
