crafty-bitmaps software package provides bitmap images for crafty chess game annotation mode, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install crafty-bitmaps
crafty-bitmaps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the crafty-bitmaps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep crafty-bitmaps *
You will get with crafty-bitmaps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
