How to uninstall or remove command-runner-applet software package from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed command-runner-applet package itself from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove command-runner-applet

Uninstall command-runner-applet including dependent package

If you would like to remove command-runner-applet and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove command-runner-applet

Use Purging command-runner-applet

If you use with purge options to command-runner-applet package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge command-runner-applet

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove command-runner-applet
