cmip5-cmor-tables software package provides CMIP5 tables for the Climate Model Output Rewriter library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cmip5-cmor-tables
cmip5-cmor-tables is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cmip5-cmor-tables package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cmip5-cmor-tables *
You will get with cmip5-cmor-tables package name, version, architecture and description in a table
