aspell-es software package provides Spanish dictionary for aspell, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aspell-es
aspell-es is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aspell-es package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aspell-es *
You will get with aspell-es package name, version, architecture and description in a table
