ruby-ethon software package provides libcurl wrapper using ffi, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-ethon
ruby-ethon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-ethon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-ethon *
You will get with ruby-ethon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
