rtirq-init software package provides startup script for realtime-preempt enabled kernels, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rtirq-init
rtirq-init is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rtirq-init package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rtirq-init *
You will get with rtirq-init package name, version, architecture and description in a table
