rosegarden software package provides music editor and MIDI/audio sequencer, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rosegarden
rosegarden is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rosegarden package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rosegarden *
You will get with rosegarden package name, version, architecture and description in a table
