rivet-root-converter software package provides Rivet and ROOT file format converter, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rivet-root-converter
rivet-root-converter is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rivet-root-converter package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rivet-root-converter *
You will get with rivet-root-converter package name, version, architecture and description in a table
