renpy software package provides framework for developing visual-novel type games, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install renpy
renpy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the renpy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep renpy *
You will get with renpy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
