readahead-fedora software package provides Fedoras implementation of readahead to preload boot process files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install readahead-fedora
readahead-fedora is installed in your system.
Make ensure the readahead-fedora package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep readahead-fedora *
You will get with readahead-fedora package name, version, architecture and description in a table
