rdiff software package provides Binary diff tool for signature-based differences, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rdiff
rdiff is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rdiff package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rdiff *
You will get with rdiff package name, version, architecture and description in a table
