rate4site software package provides detector of conserved amino-acid sites, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rate4site
rate4site is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rate4site package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rate4site *
You will get with rate4site package name, version, architecture and description in a table
