raster3d software package provides tools for generating images of proteins or other molecules, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install raster3d
raster3d is installed in your system.
Make ensure the raster3d package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep raster3d *
You will get with raster3d package name, version, architecture and description in a table
