r-cran-misc3d software package provides GNU R collection of 3d plot functions and rgl-based isosurfaces, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install r-cran-misc3d
r-cran-misc3d is installed in your system.
Make ensure the r-cran-misc3d package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep r-cran-misc3d *
You will get with r-cran-misc3d package name, version, architecture and description in a table
