quake-server software package provides classic first person shooter - server and init script, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install quake-server
quake-server is installed in your system.
Make ensure the quake-server package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep quake-server *
You will get with quake-server package name, version, architecture and description in a table
