qsynth software package provides fluidsynth MIDI sound synthesiser front-end, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install qsynth
qsynth is installed in your system.
Make ensure the qsynth package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qsynth *
You will get with qsynth package name, version, architecture and description in a table
