python3-xdg software package provides Python 3 library to access freedesktop.org standards, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-xdg
python3-xdg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-xdg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-xdg *
You will get with python3-xdg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
