python3-software-properties software package provides manage the repositories that you install software from, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-software-properties
python3-software-properties is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-software-properties package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-software-properties *
You will get with python3-software-properties package name, version, architecture and description in a table
