python3-smbc software package provides Python3 bindings for Samba clients (libsmbclient), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-smbc
python3-smbc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-smbc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-smbc *
You will get with python3-smbc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
