python3-setuptools software package provides Python3 Distutils Enhancements (setuptools compatibility), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-setuptools
python3-setuptools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-setuptools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-setuptools *
You will get with python3-setuptools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
