python3-pyqt5.qtserialport software package provides Python 3 bindings for QtSerialPort module, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5.qtserialport
python3-pyqt5.qtserialport is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-pyqt5.qtserialport package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-pyqt5.qtserialport *
You will get with python3-pyqt5.qtserialport package name, version, architecture and description in a table
