python3-openslide software package provides Python 3 wrapper for reading whole slide image files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-openslide
python3-openslide is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-openslide package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-openslide *
You will get with python3-openslide package name, version, architecture and description in a table
