How to Install python-zbar software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-zbar software package provides bar code scanner and decoder (Python bindings), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-zbar

python-zbar is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-zbar package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-zbar *

You will get with python-zbar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
