python-van.pydeb software package provides introspection of Python metadata and conversion to Debian package metadata, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-van.pydeb
python-van.pydeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-van.pydeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-van.pydeb *
You will get with python-van.pydeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
