python-u1db software package provides Ubuntu One structured data storage - Python API, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-u1db

python-u1db is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-u1db package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-u1db *

You will get with python-u1db package name, version, architecture and description in a table
