python-ttystatus software package provides terminal progress bar and status output for Python, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-ttystatus
python-ttystatus is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-ttystatus package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-ttystatus *
You will get with python-ttystatus package name, version, architecture and description in a table
