python-tables-data software package provides hierarchical database for Python based on HDF5 - test data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-tables-data
python-tables-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-tables-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-tables-data *
You will get with python-tables-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
