python-sip software package provides Python/C++ bindings generator runtime library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-sip
python-sip is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-sip package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-sip *
You will get with python-sip package name, version, architecture and description in a table
