python-simplestreams software package provides Library and tools for using Simple Streams data, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-simplestreams
python-simplestreams is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-simplestreams package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-simplestreams *
You will get with python-simplestreams package name, version, architecture and description in a table
