python-scientific software package provides Python modules useful for scientific computing, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-scientific
python-scientific is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-scientific package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-scientific *
You will get with python-scientific package name, version, architecture and description in a table
