python-rrdtool software package provides time-series data storage and display system (Python interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-rrdtool
python-rrdtool is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-rrdtool package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-rrdtool *
You will get with python-rrdtool package name, version, architecture and description in a table
