python-redis software package provides Persistent key-value database with network interface (Python library), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-redis
python-redis is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-redis package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-redis *
You will get with python-redis package name, version, architecture and description in a table
