python-pyoptical software package provides python interface to the CRS OptiCAL photometer, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-pyoptical
python-pyoptical is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-pyoptical package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-pyoptical *
You will get with python-pyoptical package name, version, architecture and description in a table
