python-psutil software package provides module providing convenience functions for managing processes, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-psutil
python-psutil is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-psutil package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-psutil *
You will get with python-psutil package name, version, architecture and description in a table
