python-plplot-qt software package provides Scientific plotting library (python qt GUI), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-plplot-qt
python-plplot-qt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-plplot-qt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-plplot-qt *
You will get with python-plplot-qt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
