python-osd software package provides Transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-osd
python-osd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-osd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-osd *
You will get with python-osd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
