python-nxs software package provides NeXus scientific data file format - python binding, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-nxs
python-nxs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-nxs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-nxs *
You will get with python-nxs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
