python-nine software package provides Python 2 / 3 compatibility, like six, but favouring Python 3, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-nine
python-nine is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-nine package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-nine *
You will get with python-nine package name, version, architecture and description in a table
