python-mpmath software package provides library for arbitrary-precision floating-point arithmetic, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-mpmath
python-mpmath is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-mpmath package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-mpmath *
You will get with python-mpmath package name, version, architecture and description in a table
