python-mpi4py-dbg software package provides bindings of the MPI standard -- debug symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-mpi4py-dbg
python-mpi4py-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-mpi4py-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-mpi4py-dbg *
You will get with python-mpi4py-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
