python-mlt software package provides multimedia framework (python bindings), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-mlt
python-mlt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-mlt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-mlt *
You will get with python-mlt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
