python-kml software package provides Library to manipulate KML 2.2 OGC standard files - Python extension, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-kml
python-kml is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-kml package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-kml *
You will get with python-kml package name, version, architecture and description in a table
