python-jenkinsapi software package provides bindings for Python usage of the Jenkins remote API, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-jenkinsapi

python-jenkinsapi is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-jenkinsapi package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-jenkinsapi *

You will get with python-jenkinsapi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
