python-icalendar software package provides parser/generator of iCalendar files for use with Python2, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-icalendar
python-icalendar is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-icalendar package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-icalendar *
You will get with python-icalendar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
