python-guestfs software package provides guest disk image management system - Python bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-guestfs
python-guestfs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-guestfs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-guestfs *
You will get with python-guestfs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
