python-fastimport software package provides Fastimport file format parser and generator library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-fastimport
python-fastimport is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-fastimport package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-fastimport *
You will get with python-fastimport package name, version, architecture and description in a table
