python-configparser software package provides backport of the enhanced config parser introduced in Python 3.2, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-configparser
python-configparser is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-configparser package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-configparser *
You will get with python-configparser package name, version, architecture and description in a table
