python-concurrent.futures software package provides backport of concurrent.futures package from Python 3.2, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-concurrent.futures
python-concurrent.futures is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-concurrent.futures package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-concurrent.futures *
You will get with python-concurrent.futures package name, version, architecture and description in a table
